Profanatic Lust - The Cvlt Ov the Old Ones - Review

PROFANATIC LUST is a Black metal band from Brazil and is consisting of two members

which has a rich background with bands as Hellishkiller, Mørtvs, Svlfvr & Evoked, Necromante and

more. I found this debut EP "The Cvlt ov the Old Ones" by accident while i was rooming around

after some new music to listen to.... Well as you guess this is great otherwise i would not have

done this impromptu review.

This duo plays in a traditional second wave Black metal and while having much natural nordic

influences i think their own hellish dark culture is prominent here, in other words this is not

cold in atmosphere but rather infernal and bloodlusting!

What striked me quite fast was their solid and driving melodies that runs like potent demonic

blood in an warriors veins, even though i said its traditional (you will feel at home) their

craft is engaging and makes you with ease sit through all songs in one sitting....And then repeat!

The songs here is grand and attacking in nature and well crafted from start to finish and ends

off with a nice atmospheric devilish outro. Production is great with a warm sound and all levels

is balanced really well, its organic and alive, not over produced and stale though not raw either

in the sound but their delivery is raw and tight!

There have been 4 tape versions (each one have a bit different visual designs) from the labels : Death Voice Records, Aleister Kvlt Prods, Kandelaber Records & Asmodeo Productions. Then there is one CD edition released by Blasphemous Creations of Hell Records!

This debut really makes me lusting for more materials from the band!
