Demonic Lust - Unholy Devourer of Souls -Review-

Demonic Lust is a two member band from Chile and they play a morbid old school Black metal that is more based in the "first wave" (and their own countries style) rather then the Nordic second wave, so it includes a bit more speedy death metal (also some Thrash) vibes but morphed through a twister of demonic power and will! ...So yeah a bit "beastly" burning black metal it sure is!

This specific CD is a compilation of their two only (so far) demos and it is released by the legendary zine Necroscopes new label Necroscope Blasphemia.

First 5 songs is the debut demo from 2019 and gives the listener a good taste of what the band is lusting for, inbetween the intro and outro the primitive and quite cavernous songs is testing its murky waters and they manage just fine with hitting its goals! Dirty occult hymns of the blasphemious goat is pounding firmly and the end result made me sit up and listen. Solid first material.....

....Then the second three-track demo kicks in and damn (!) Demonic Lust has been at the gym! heheh Both the sound and compositions here takes a big step up and blows open a new hole in the sky! Even if the first demo was nice and good they did not stop there but instead took what they already had mastered and infused more diverse (inside the frames of this old school style) songwriting plus the sound is more meatier and has a nice touch of space around the music which makes the whole atmosphere more mighty and dark. It has more punch and more nasty direction here.

So yeah this is a good start for the band and i hope they are working on an album or EP as they seem to have much to give in this field of evil pummeling ancient metal.
